Ali Larter is “Obsessed” with Scott Marks

March 31st, 2009 by Scott Marks

Ali L. Marks

With only one shopping day left before April Fool’s Day, the nice folks at Allied Advertising decided to hook me up with the lovely and/or talented Ali Larter. Who knew that she had a thing for angry, middle-aged Jews?

Who would have guessed that this shikse delight even knew me? I have never watched an episode of Heroes and the one performance of hers that sticks out in my mind is a commercial she did for Designer Imposters fragrances in 1994. They showed this thing non stop during the old Howard Stern Show on E!

I was shocked to see how much my Ali actually knew about me. For the record, I am a Libra and the closest I come to exotic food is the Italian Beef with sweet and hot peppers at lefty’s.

Actually, they are out stumping Obsessed, a new Fatal Attraction knock off that opens April 24 at a theater near you. To view the thoughts of the future Mrs. Marks, click here.

Scorsese’s SHUTTER ISLAND Poster and Teaser Trailer

March 30th, 2009 by Scott Marks

I must confess disappointment that Marty didn’t stick with the original idea of changing the title of his new movie. As reported last Jaunary, plans were underway to alter the title of the movie, which was adapted from Dennis Lehane’s novel, from Shutter Island to Ashecliffe, the name of the mental institution in which the film is set. Any thoughts of a Val Lewton tribute have been scrapped in favor of sticking with the more recognizable brand.

Editor Thelma Schoonmaker, cinematographer Robert Richardson and production designer Dante Ferretti, three Scorsese regulars, are back on board and the cast includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Max von Sydow, Patricia Clarkson, Emily Mortimer, Jackie Earle Haley, Patricia Clarkson, Elias Koteas, Ted Levine and John Carroll Lynch. According to IMDB, the “Drama is set in 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.” Bookmark this site for future reference.

The teaser trailer looks like something put together on Final Cut Pro by His nine-year-old daughter Francesca.
