No Christmas in the Ernest Borgnine home!!!

December 7th, 2007 by Scott Marks

Ernie Borgnine was loaded with Christmas cheer while on the promotion trail for his new heartwarming Hallmark Channel holiday movie Grandpa for Christmas.

In a USA Today interview with Francine Brokaw the usually jovial 90-year-old Oscar winner admitted, “I don’t have Christmas in my house anymore. We go to the hotel where they’ve got big Christmas trees and everything else, and have their own food, and that’s it. But I don’t do Christmas anymore because, you know, people you put up a Christmas tree, right, and you work like the devil. First comes the tree, and then you put all those ornaments and everything else, and in comes the people, ‘Oh, isn’t that pretty. All right, what else do you got?’ That’s it. That’s Christmas. And you say wait a minute, I’ve just tortured myself putting up this thing. Is that what your answer was? I mean, is that what you want to hear?”

What a turd in the pool this guy turned out to be. I hope he still has the decency to send loved ones packages of Tova’s face creme for the holidays.

If you want to catch Ernie and Tova in person, they’ll be appearing at the Palm Springs Denny’s on Dec. 24.

Groucho Marx & Friends for Hallmark Christmas Cards

December 3rd, 2007 by Scott Marks

The spirit of Christmas as captured on canvas by a cold and distant disciplinarian, Ronald Reagan’s ex-wife, the cheapest man in Hollywood and a cranky old Jew. You know that Fred MacMurray only agreed to do it if they gave him a gross of cards for free.

Thanks to Rob Martinez for the use of the ad!
