Mindy McCready heading back to jail

September 29th, 2008 by Scott Marks

Here we go again…

Emulsion Compulsion’s favorite country and western crazy will voluntarily surrender to authorities Tuesday to serve 60 days in a Tennessee jail. Mindy McCready, 32, appears to be spending more time in rehab and behind bars than in the recording studio. If you’ve heard her music, this is not necessarily a bad thing.

Mindy was arrested for violating her probation for prescription drug fraud in June. Last September, McCready was sentenced to jail time for violating probation from a 2004 drug arrest. She was required to serve two years’ probation. The violation occurred when McCready allegedly falsified information on her community service report. She turned herself into the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department and was free after posting bail two hours later.

The headline grabbing singer had entered rehab July 16, 2008 “for undisclosed reasons.”

In an excluseive statement to People Magazine, Mindy said “”I am working very hard to put all of this behind me as quickly as possible so I can get back to what I like to do most: sing, write songs, and entertain. I would like to thank my fans for their unwavering support as I continue to work on my recovery and to regain custody of my precious son, Zander.”

Hurry up and get out, darling, so you can spill your guts on Larry King Live.

Not the real thing, but an amazing simulation:

What Rimes with Psoriasis? Why LeAnn, of course!

September 3rd, 2008 by Scott Marks

LeAnn Rimes: Before and After

Oh, Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I can’t believe what I just read: LeAnn Rimes has psoriasis!

What kind of cheap, attention getting device is this? Is People Magazine so desperate for something to report on that they’re forced to write about celebrity psoriasis? What’s next? Paris Hilton has a yeast infection? Mo’Nique has hemorrhoids? Al Pacino suffers from planter warts? Bea Arthur has osteoporosis?

The country star, 26, was diagnosed with the chronic autoimmune disease at age 2. By age 6 she was covered in red, scaly patches that would crack and bleed. “Not only does that take a physical toll on your body, but it takes an emotional toll,” Rimes tells People. “I was very self-conscious.”

Oh, the poor child! People no longer have to hide behind their guttate lesions. Isn’t it time for LeAnn to team with the National Psoriasis Foundation and start an annual Pustular Dystrophy Telethon? It’s time to get out there, flex your erythrodermic skin and show the world your rosy outlook.

Watch LeAnn’s confession here.
