The Audacity of Hope, right here!
October 30th, 2008 by Scott Marks

Hey, how ’bout this spoof of Shepard Fairey’s Obama “Hope” posters, huh? 21st Century Filth, darlin’? My thoughts exactly. No wonder Bob and Dolores were forced to adopt.
Bob Hope recently joked to a packed house at Gilley’s Canto 666 Club in Limbo. “Yeah, I did 18 holes with Obama. Okay candidate, but a terrible caddy. He may have a plan to get us out of Iraq, but you ought to see him try to get out of the 7th hole sand trap at Apache Wells.” When asked about his likeness appearing on a campaign poster supporting Barack Obama, Hope quipped, “Yeah, only a Fairey would come up with this…And you thought Jerry Lewis was the only one still cracking queer jokes.” After a five-minute standing ovation, Hope concluded, “You got Hope, why not give Bing equal time and come up with a matching one that reads ‘Bastard?’”
The first time I caught sight of the legitimate version of this poster (hanging in the front window or Rebecca’s Coffee House in South Park), my thoughts immediately went to the violently insane one. If only I paid more attention during art class. I’d have mocked one of these babies up months ago, and I mean it.
This kind of Hope may have worked for that Republican geezer Johnny McCain, but Barack Obama is one man whose thought patterns will not be interfered with!

Woody Allen: McCain victory would be a “very terrible thing for the United States”
September 20th, 2008 by Scott Marks

Breitbart reports that Woody Allen told Spanish journalists at the ongoing 56th San Sebastian film festival “It would be a disgrace and a humiliation if Barack Obama does not win.”
“It would be a very, very terrible thing for the United States in many, many ways,” he said.
Allen said Obama is “so much better” than Republican rival John McCain, and “represents a huge step upward from (the) incompetence and misjudgment” of the Bush administration.
“It would be a terrible thing if the American public was not moved to vote for him, that they actually preferred more of the same.”
On Thursday, Spanish-born Hollywood actor Antonio Banderas, who is also in San Sebastian, said he is backing Obama for the sake of his daughter. Unfortunately he cannot vote as he is not a US citizen and with his fractured English, no one understood what he was saying.
