Morgan Freeman car crash ends in divorce!

As if bruises and broken bones aren’t bad enough, Morgan Freeman has even more pain to endure after his Monday morning smashup. Freeman’s business partner Bill Luckett told Access Hollywood the actor and his wife of 24 years, costumer Myrna Colley-Lee, are headed for divorce court.

Luckett adds that “for legal and practical purposes, (the couple) have been separated since December of 2007.”

Morgan met Myrna in 1976 when both were working off-Broadway. Freeman is the father of four children: Two from a previous marriage, two from previous relationships.

Doctors reconnected nerves and repaired damage to Freeman’s left arm and hand on Monday and the 71-year-old actor is due to be released from the hospital in a few days.

Every good Hollywood drama has an air of mystery about it and this one is no exception. Is Demaris Meyer, 48, the woman in Freeman’s passenger seat, in part responsible for the break-up? News reports describe her as a mutual friend of Freeman and his wife. Can’t wait for Larry King to put Freeman in the hot seat!

Morgan Freeman escapes car accident with broken bones and bruises

Morgan Freeman is reposrted to be in good spirits after a Sunday morning collison left the actor with a broken arm, broken elbow and minor shoulder damage. He is planning to have surgery on the injuries he endured from the smash up.

According to People Magazine, his rep Donna Lee said, ”He is going to have surgery this afternoon or tomorrow to correct the damage. He says he’ll be okay and is looking forward to a full recovery.”

The accident caused his car to flip over and Freeman and a passenger were removed from the twisted wreckage using the jaws of life. The passenger, identified by police as Demaris Meyer, suffered minor injuries. Her relationship to Freeman remains a mystery.
