Borat’s Sacha Baron Cohen nabbed by police for prank on Milan catwalk

September 28th, 2008 by Scott Marks

Sacha Baron Cohen received a polizia escort off the runway during Friday’s  Agata Luiz della Prada show. The comedian, best known for his wildly inventive character Borat, stormed the Milanese fashion show while filming a stunt for his upcoming Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Male.

Earlier this week Cohen and his crew crashed a show by Italian designer Iceberg. Despite the heightened security at Friday’s show, they once again managed to get backstage. The Daily Mail reports: “Dressed in a velcro suit (Cohen) was bundled away by security guards and taken to a nearby police station where he was formally identified. A police officer at Milan Sempione police station said: ‘A British national by the name of Sacha Baron Cohen was brought here and identified.’”

Zany cut-up Cohen kept the poliziotti in stitches. “‘He was actually very funny,” the officer on duty told the Mail, “and the first thing he said was ‘Can I make a phone call’ like they do on TV.’”

Cohen was released without charge and is thought to be cooking up his next act of anarchy somewhere in Milan.

Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Male is set to open on May 15, 2009.

Tarantino Violence is how British Police Describe Murder of 2 French Students

July 4th, 2008 by Scott Marks

Brutally murdered students Laurent Bonomo (left) and Gabriel Ferez

A pair of gifted bio-engineering students were tied to chairs, tortured, stabbed almost 250 times in the head, chest and back and set on fire all in an attempt to get them to divulge their PIN numbers.

A detective on the scene described “the scale of the violence” as “extraordinary,” adding, “This was like a scene from a Tarantino gangster film, but these men were not criminals. These were two talented and innocent men who had no history of criminality.”

Police believe that the two French students, Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez, were murdered in a robbery that went terribly wrong. The pair, both 23, are believed to have been tortured for hours in order to obtain their bank details. According to thisislondon.co.uk, “The theory has gathered pace with the discovery by detectives that two mobile phones and two new Sony PSP games consoles had been stolen from Mr. Bonomo’s flat” in New Cross, south-east London.

The report continues,”Mr. Bonomo and Mr. Ferez, already marked out as the most gifted of their generation, were killed just eight weeks after arriving in Britain from their native France.” After being bound, gagged, stabbed and tortured, both men were coated with some type of combustible liquid and set ablaze, possibly to destroy evidence. The resulting fire causing a minor explosion.

Detectives are trying to establish whether Mr. Bonomo was already being tortured when Mr. Ferez, who lived several miles away in Thornton Heath, turned up at his friend’s flat.

Six days before the murders, Mr. Bonomo exited the shower and walked in on an intruder who stole a laptop. Police are examining the possibility that a drug-addicted burglar later returned and subjected the men to the unspeakable horrors.

Mr. Bonomo and Mr. Ferez had won three-month internships at Imperial College, London, following glittering academic careers. Both were graduates of colleges linked to the Cole Polytechnique, the state-run institution founded in 1794 which is viewed as the most prestigious engineering college in France.

They were due to return home later this month.

Rapper DMX arrested: Cops dig up drugs and dead dogs

DMX, the no-nonsense rap singer, who strings together “f**ks” better than a squad of hoes in Little TJ, was arrested on drug and animal-cruelty charges following an overnight raid on the his Arizona house Friday, authorities said.

According to Breitbart, the 37-year-old tough guy (aka: Earl Simmons) initially tried to barricade himself in his bedroom but emerged when a SWAT team entered his north Phoenix home during the 3 a.m. raid, sheriff’s spokesman Capt. Paul Chagolla said.

The indictment stems from an August search of the rapper’s home prompted by reports of dogs being abused on his property. Detectives seized 12 pit bull dogs, dug up remains of three others and found marijuana on the rural property.

On September 24, 2007, EI reported that, “Postmortem exams performed on three canine carcasses found buried in the backyard of the rapper’s Phoenix-area home revealed that two of the animals suffered grievous injuries before they died.” No charges were filed because investigators were unable to come up with sufficient evidence to suggest that DMX had a hand in their violent deaths.

It’s not all good.

During Friday’s raid, officials said more drugs were found and weapons seized and additional charges were possible. He made an initial court appearance yesterday where bail was sent at $7,500, said his local attorney, Cameron Morgan. Morgan said he expected bail to be posted quickly.

It’s been a rough week for the rapper. On Tuesday he was clocked doing 114 on a suburban Arizona freeway. No dogs were found in the glove compartment.

Admittedly, I do own a couple of DMX CDs after being treated to a thorough examination of the lyrics to It’s All Good on The Howard Stern Show. Any man that’s “done it all from mackin’ two hoes on a three-way, Dominican hoes on b-day (and) country hoes in VA” demands my attention. On the other hand, anyone that breeds animals to kill is instantly denied it.
