National Enquirer not through with John Edwards

From the folks that broke the Jesse Jackson lovechild story, literally caught Bill Clinton with his pants down and had, short of E!’s riveting nightly trial reenactments and the best damn O.J. coverage on the planet is about to hammer a few more nails into John Edwards‘ coffin.

Now that the ex-presidential hopeful has admitted to having an affair, it’s still remains difficult for many so-called “legitimate” news organizations to give the Enquirer its due. The Associated Press has finally decided to report that Fred Baron, Edwards’ national finance chairman, has been secretly sending his pal’s mistress/documentary “filmmaker” Rielle Hunter a little walking around money. The Enquirer brought us this story on August 4.

The New York Times once commended the “rag” for their superb coverage of the O.J. trial. In this article about lawyers possibly covering up the Edwards’ affair, the Times won’t even dignify the NE, writing off its dogged investigative coverage as “tabloid reports” and never once referencing the paper by name.

If it’s Monday, it must be time for more new salacious shots hacked off of Miley Cyrus’ cellphone. This girl has worn out the hands of more middle aged pervs than Parkinson’s disease! Some even claim that in one of the pics, a white, sticky substance can clearly be seen on her belly. My guess is that she uses Nexus Therappe.

“Singer” Mindy McCready rehab bound!

It took her long enough, but meshuggina warbler Mindy McCready is finally about to enter Celebrity College. According to People Magazine, the Nashville nitz checked into an emergency room on July 16 and has been admitted to an extended-care rehab facility.

“Mindy McCready did receive emergency care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center,” the star’s rep told People. “Other issues made it prudent for her to seek longer-term and broader-based treatment.”

Mindy’s people also asked that everyone just leave their client alone. Who is kicking down her mansion door? The only way she keeps her name in the spotlight is by continually embarrassing herself.

Since January, Mindy received an early release from jail, which was quickly followed by revelations that the Country Queen began a relationship with pitcher Roger Clemens when she was 15-years-old (even her mom confirmed it), last month she again violated her parole and now a mid-summer trip to rehab! I wonder what her Halloween costume will be.

Am I the only one saddened to hear of Mindy’s expensive vacation to a Quittersville spa? Take away the addictive behavior and borderline personality quirks and all that’s left is another noisome country and western singer. What good is that? Party on, McCready!

Miley Cyrus seems eager to get naked for racy film role

Miley Cyrus will not rest until all of America has had a chance to see her naked. The Hannah Montana star’s recent Vanity Fair cover and wet tee-shirt photos might just have been a carefully crafted warm up for an upcoming big screen role.

Rumor has it t he fifteen-year-old money machine is bucking to play the lead in Undiscovered Gyrl, which is based on Allison Burnett’s new novel. Even though Burnett’s agent has just begun shopping the manuscript to publishers, Miley is already intent on securing a deal to star in the film version.

According to MSNBC, a source close to the project says Cyrus is interested in the part, which would be that of “a lovable, lost suburban girl who descends into a life of reckless partying and promiscuity.” The source says if Cyrus did take the part, you’d be seeing a lot more of Cyrus than what appeared in the Vanity Fair photos. “There would definitely be nude scenes.”

“I challenge you to show me a child star who really made the transition to adulthood smoothly,” says another MSNBC source. “Miley doesn’t have plans to leave showbiz any time soon, and to get that big ‘grown-up’ part, she needs to start looking like a grownup. That (Vanity Fair) shoot helped.”

Not every child star grows up to be a Bonaduce. How about Hayley Mills or Ron Howard? And I don’t see any photos of DIckie Moore and Sonny Bupp kissing each other after stripping down to their green bras. Don’t worry about Miley. Judging by the career counseling she has received to date, Miley will sign with Vivid Video before she turns twenty.

More racy Miley Cyrus photos, this time taking a shower!

All the water in the world won’t wash away this young hussy’s sins!

What better way to top a weekend spent reacquainting myself with Kenji Mizoguchi’s staggering Sansho the Baliff than with a new set of scandal shots featuring Miley the bather?

Earlier this year, Miley Cyrus expressed public embarrassment after photog Annie Liebovitz snapped sexy shots of the 15-year-old for Vanity Fair magazine.

Who needs Annie Liebovitz when one can extend their public humiliation with a cell phone? The photos, including one of the pouty-lipped pop star showering in a white t-shirt, were leaked to an internet forum. The user said he received the snaps from boy band singer Nick Jonas who briefly dated Miley last year. Another rumor claims the pics were allegedly found in the memory of Cyrus’ phone by a hacker identified only as “TrainReq.”

The other two photos are a self-portrait of Miley exposing her stomach and a third shot showing her wearing a necklace that reads “NICK J.” Gossip site JustJared offers this as proof that Miley had in fact dated a Jonas.

Do you think concerned yente Jamie Lee Curtis will lecture Miley on the evils of filming ones ablutions? After all, look what one shower did for her mother Janet Leigh.

I hope that this Christmas morn Miley awakens to find an adjustable spreader bar, red leather ball gag and case of head cleaners under the tree.

Miley Cyrus says scandalous Vanity Fair pics made her “more relatable” to her fans

Miley Cyrus, who is like aging faster than one of Charles Shaw’s grapes, is like finally speaking out about her recent Vanity Fair photo scandal.

The fifteen-year-old star, who is like now in the third season of the Disney Channel’s ridiculously popular Hanna Montana, told Billboard Magazine, “I was embarrassed, but also it’s like, every career thing that I do can’t be perfect, and sometimes my decisions are wrong. I think that just makes me even more relatable. I don’t think people will look at me any differently because they’re like, ‘You know what, I’m going to do stupid stuff too, and I’m going to make mistakes, and that’s fine.’ It still hurts when I think about it — but you know what, it doesn’t mean that you can’t move on.”

With a new album like set to debut next month, Miley wants America to know that “more than anything — I’m a writer.” As opposed to what, a wronger?
